Remembering David Albelda!

Those were the days where passion was never doubted in a footballer.

David Albelda was one of the most influential legend that has ever grazed Mestalla. 

A true Valencian hero, and one of the best in his era.

Normally a defensive midfielder, he clocked most of his playing career with Valencia CF and even captained the club for over a decade. Now retired, such dedication are now becoming a rarity..

As we entered the mid season, we feel that our current squad are in desperate need of a David Albelda mould to lead the team. The swap of captains from Dani Parejo to Enzo Perez may not be truly understood, and bringing in Mario Suarez has not fully plugged the gap between the back four with the midfield. We do hope that something will be done about this, but meanwhile, let us take a moment and appreciate our retired warrior..

That aside, we as a fan club continues to hope for a defensive midfielder to be added to the squad. Hopefully the management find someone of his caliber.

Retired or not, David Albelda will always be etched in every Valencianistas' heart!
